Reporting into AI leadership, the AI Research & Engineering Expert leads breakthrough research and applied engineering across large model data, search and retrieval, compute acceleration, and AI Agent systems — translating cutting-edge research into scalable, production-grade systems and enterprise-ready agent capabilities that strengthen the Organisation's technical edge.

Lead research breakthroughs in AI data science and engineering, and own large model pre-training/post-training data engineering, evaluation, and validation
Design evidence-grounded, hallucination-resistant search and RAG systems, including cross-lingual alignment and global vector retrieval architectures
Lead R&D of AI training and inference acceleration algorithms and high-performance kernels for next-generation compute architectures, including hardware-software co-design
Build core LLM competitiveness in long sequences, agents, and strong reasoning, delivering breakthroughs in new architectures and training algorithms
Design and build AI Agent features — RAG, tool calling, multi-agent collaboration, and orchestration across multiple models — from concept through production
Partner with Product Management to translate business goals into scalable, agent-based engineering solutions
Build the talent ladder, mentor engineers, and promote best practices across research and engineering teams
Collaborate with top-tier research resources and contribute to patents, benchmark reports, and proprietary technical solutions

You should be a research-driven technologist and hands-on engineer, with a Master's or PhD (or equivalent industry experience) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field. You'll bring a proven track record translating research in large model data engineering, search/RAG, AI compute acceleration, or agent systems into scalable, production-grade solutions, with strong engineering skills in Python, TypeScript, Java, or C/C++. Hands-on depth in at least one of these areas is essential, along with a solid understanding of mainstream LLM/MoE architectures and at least one mainstream agent framework such as LangChain or Dify. Familiarity with GPU/NPU microarchitecture, hardware-software co-design, and a strong publication or patent record are all pluses. Strong cross-team collaboration skills and comfort operating in a fast-moving enterprise environment are a must.
