Chief AI Transformation Officer

ATN is partnered with a global leading semiconductor manufacturer in its search for a Chief AI Officer to define and lead the company's overarching AI strategy across its automotive and battery intelligence portfolio.

This role is based in California, specific location to be disclosed upon screening.

Responsibilities
Own the company-wide AI strategy, setting vision and direction across all AI/ML initiatives
Lead and scale multiple AI and algorithm teams across business units, including battery intelligence and ADAS
Drive innovation in machine learning, deep learning and data-driven decision-making across the product portfolio
Set enterprise-wide standards for AI architecture, model governance, data strategy and responsible AI practices
Partner with the executive leadership team to align AI strategy with overall business and commercial objectives
Oversee the transition of AI research and prototypes into scalable, production-grade solutions
Build strategic partnerships with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers and technology providers on AI-driven initiatives
Manage AI investment priorities, budgets and resource allocation across the organisation
Build, mentor and retain top AI talent, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence
Represent the company as a thought leader in AI at industry forums, with customers and with investors
Monitor the competitive and regulatory landscape for AI in automotive to guide strategic decisions
Report directly to the CEO/executive board on AI strategy, progress and risk

Requirements
Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related technical discipline
Extensive senior leadership experience in AI/ML strategy, ideally within automotive, semiconductor or energy technology sectors
Proven track record building and scaling AI organisations at an enterprise level
Deep technical grounding in machine learning, deep learning and statistical modelling, with the credibility to guide technical teams
Strong experience translating AI strategy into commercial and product outcomes
Excellent executive presence, communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience working with or within OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers or semiconductor manufacturers
